HEALTH TASK FIVE | HYDRATE EVERY DAY
Health challenge, task five is to hydrate every day. I consume the recommended amount of water about twice a month; this is not healthy. Hydration is something I completely overlook and then end up experiencing health issues as a result, usually along the lines of headaches, fatigue, bad skin and so on. Kidney stones aren't something I’m looking forward to in my old age, but it’s a reality I need to consider due to lack of self-care.
Water is one of the main fuels needed for humans to function; used to flush toxins out of the body and more. Without fuel, the body dips into the energy reserves and burns through them within a few hours. It activates rest mode and shuts the body down for a recharge. The next thing I know, I’m hooked up to a charging point in the house for a nap. Putting a stop to any tasks that require too much effort for me to do when low.
I provide a clear explanation as to why I’ve got sucked into habits of doomscrolling into all hours of the night. Or a Netflix marathon instead of moving, or looking into my creative interests. Therefore, I've concluded that consuming more water can be a small change that has a bigger impact on what I get out of life.
